Named after one of cannabis culture’s classic cultivars, FVKD Exotics Jack Herer comes as a 2g x2 THCA pre-roll in the Naked Holez line. The strain is widely described as sativa-leaning, although FVKD itself doesn’t label it. FVKD’s words are earthy for flavor and uplifting, calm and energy for effects, and effects vary by person. It suits fans of heritage strain names and anyone comparing THCA with the THCP version of the same pre-roll.

The strain: FVKD Jack Herer and the sativa strain question

FVKD Exotics sells Jack Herer in its Naked Holez THCA line as a 2g x2 pre-roll, describing the flavor as earthy and the effects as uplifting, calm and energy. People often search for FVKD Jack Herer as a sativa strain, so it's worth being precise: FVKD doesn't label it indica, sativa or hybrid.

Outside FVKD, Jack Herer is one of the most recognized cultivar names in cannabis. It honors the author and hemp activist Jack Herer, and the strain is widely described as sativa-dominant, with its origins commonly credited to Dutch breeders in the 1990s. That history is useful context, but it isn't FVKD's labeling, and effects vary from person to person.

The Jack Herer strain page links each FVKD product with this strain name, and our sativa hub explains what the label traditionally means.

Who it's for: classic-strain fans and THCA vs THCP comparers

Jack Herer suits smokers who look for heritage cultivar names and an earthy flavor rather than candy, dessert or gas.

With uplifting, calm and energy, it has the broadest effect description FVKD gives any strain in the Naked Holez THCA line. If you're weighing cannabinoids, buying one THCA unit and one THCP unit is a simple way to decide which you prefer. Anyone who settles on Jack Herer can buy ten units at once for $107.99, each one $2.00 below fvkd.com, while newcomers should keep early puffs small.

The extract: a THCA pre-roll with a THCP twin

This Jack Herer is a THCA pre-roll from FVKD's Naked Holez line. THCA is the naturally occurring acid precursor of delta-9 THC in hemp, and the heat of a lit pre-roll converts it.

FVKD makes the same strain and size as a Jack Herer Naked Holez THCP Pre-Roll 2g x2. THC-P (tetrahydrocannabiphorol) is a different cannabinoid, so the two versions aren't interchangeable. Our THCA vs THC-P guide walks through the differences, including legality.

Naked Holez carry a hash-hole inspired name but aren't sold as diamond infused; that label belongs to FVKD's Hash Holez. See all Naked Holez THCA pre-rolls and the Hash Holez vs Naked Holez comparison.

Jack Herer is the earthy, uplifting-described option in Naked Holez THCA, and its closest relative is the Jack Herer Naked Holez THCP Pre-Roll, the same strain and size with THC-P instead of THCA.

FVKD lists the following for this pre-roll and its THCP counterpart.

The packaging covers what the listing doesn't, including pre-roll construction, batch or lot number, date and warnings. Check that the box says THCA rather than THC-P, so you know which version you're holding.

How to use Jack Herer pre-rolls: planning your session

Plan before you light: pick a legal, private spot, clear your schedule of driving, then light evenly and puff slowly. Directions on FVKD's packaging take priority.

  1. Be 21+ and know your local rules; many places ban smoking in public spaces, parks and vehicles.
  2. Choose a time when nothing afterward requires driving or operating machinery.
  3. Outdoors, shield the flame from wind and light the tip evenly by rotating it.
  4. Take a light first puff, then wait before another; FVKD's energy wording describes the product, not a guaranteed response.
  5. Bring an ashtray or a sealable tin for ash and any unfinished pre-roll rather than leaving anything behind.
  6. Store the second pre-roll sealed, away from heat and out of reach of children and pets.

Lab testing: make sure the COA matches your version

Certificate of analysis Third-party lab results published by FVKD

A COA (certificate of analysis) is the lab report for a batch. FVKD publishes lab results, and our COA page explains where each one lives.

With two Jack Herer pre-rolls that differ by cannabinoid, the first check is simple: the report's product name and batch should match the THCA version on your box. Then read how THCA, delta-9 THC and any other cannabinoids are reported, confirm delta-9 THC is no more than 0.3% on a dry-weight basis, and look for pesticide, heavy metal and microbial screening.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is FVKD Jack Herer a sativa strain?

FVKD doesn't label its Jack Herer as a sativa, indica or hybrid. In general cannabis culture, Jack Herer is widely described as sativa-dominant, which is why many people search for it that way, but that isn't FVKD's classification. FVKD describes the effects as uplifting, calm and energy, and effects vary from person to person.

Who is Jack Herer named after?

The strain takes its name from Jack Herer, an American author and hemp activist best known for his book The Emperor Wears No Clothes, which argued for hemp's many industrial uses. The cultivar bearing his name is commonly credited to Dutch breeders in the 1990s and remains one of the most recognized names in cannabis.

What's the difference between FVKD Jack Herer THCA and THCP pre-rolls?

They share a strain name, a line and a 2g x2 size, but not a cannabinoid. This pre-roll contains THCA, while the Jack Herer THCP pre-roll contains THC-P. Pack options differ too: this version comes as a single or 10-pack, and the THCP version as a single or 6-pack.

Is the FVKD Jack Herer pre-roll 2 grams?

Each pre-roll is 2 grams, and each unit contains two of them, which is what the 2g x2 listing means. Order a single unit to try it, or the 10-pack for ten units. FVKD's packaging shows the net weight statement if you want to confirm it before smoking.

What does FVKD Jack Herer taste like?

FVKD's single flavor word for Jack Herer is earthy. That places it away from the fruit and dessert profiles elsewhere in the Naked Holez line and closer to a traditional, grounded flavor. For contrast, Sour Diesel is described as sour and diesel, and Lemon Cherry Gelato as lemon, cherry and sweet.

How much is the Jack Herer Naked Holez 10-pack?

For the THCA version of Jack Herer, the 10-pack price is $107.99 and the single-unit price is $13.99. Both figures are live and refresh several times a day, with each unit sitting $2.00 below fvkd.com. The THCP version doesn't come in a 10-pack; it's sold as a single or as a 6-pack at $115.99.
