Maui Wowie

Maui Wowie is widely associated with the Hawaiian island of Maui. As the story is usually told, sun-grown Hawaiian cannabis earned a devoted following among mainland smokers in the 1960s and 1970s, and Maui Wowie became the name that stuck.

Like many heritage strains, its early history is more legend than record. Modern Maui Wowie seeds and cuts may differ from the plants that made the name famous, and FVKD doesn’t publish the genetics of its version. The name has also passed into general pop culture, which is part of why so many people recognize it without having tried it. Its fame also helped make “Hawaiian” a flavor style in its own right, and many tropical-named strains followed.

FVKD hasn’t published flavor words for Maui Wowie. In general cannabis culture the strain is usually described as tropical, with pineapple the note mentioned most often.

Treat that as the strain’s reputation, not a tasting note for this disposable. Flavor perception varies between people and between formulations, and a THC-P live rosin product may not match anyone’s memory of Hawaiian flower.

If you want an FVKD description to go by, the fruit-described strains in the same line are a good place to look. Fruit Punch, for example, is described as tropical, sweet, punch and haze, and comes in both THCA and THC-P live rosin versions.

FVKD lists no effect words for Maui Wowie, and we don’t borrow effect claims from the strain’s reputation.

Effects vary from person to person, and that matters doubly here because this is a THC-P product. Start with the smallest possible draw, give it a good while before deciding on another, and don’t drive or operate machinery afterward. If you’ve only used THCA products before, treat your first session with this device as a test run.

FVKD doesn’t label Maui Wowie. In broader cannabis culture it is widely described as a sativa or sativa-dominant strain, reflecting the traditional link between sativas and tropical growing regions. That reputation isn’t FVKD’s classification, so Maui Wowie isn’t listed on our sativa page.

A related name does carry a label: Cherry Maui Wowie, which FVKD labels a hybrid. For what the categories traditionally mean and why they predict so little, read the indica vs sativa vs hybrid guide.

When a brand publishes nothing beyond the name, lean on what you can verify: the format, the cannabinoid and the lab report.

• Format and size. This is a 3.5g disposable, so it needs no filling or extra hardware.
• Cannabinoid. THC-P, which calls for a more cautious start than many shoppers are used to.
• Lab results. FVKD publishes certificates of analysis (COAs), and the batch report reached through our lab results page shows the cannabinoid profile and contaminant screening.
• The name. A useful hint of the classic tropical style, but not a promise about this product.

THC-P, short for tetrahydrocannabiphorol, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid that researchers first described in 2019. It has drawn attention because experienced consumers generally regard it as potent, which is why careful, small first draws are the norm.

This disposable combines THC-P with live rosin, a solventless extract pressed with heat and pressure from plant material frozen fresh at harvest. It belongs to FVKD’s Live Rosin THC-P disposables, part of our disposable vapes range.

Each unit is $2.00 below the fvkd.com price. Stock updates throughout the day; the product page shows current availability. The THCA vs THC-P guide compares the two cannabinoids, and Crumble vs Live Rosin THC-P compares FVKD’s two THC-P disposable lines.

Three FVKD strains share part of the name, and they aren’t interchangeable.

• Maui Wowie: Live Rosin THC-P Disposable 3.5g, with no FVKD flavor, effect or type information.
• Cherry Maui Wowie: a hybrid-labeled Live Rosin Dab Syringe 3.5g described as tropical, cherry, sweet and fruity.
• Maui Mango: a Diamond Infused Hash Holez Pre-Roll 2g x2 described as tropical and mango.

Check the product title before you order so you get the format and cannabinoid you actually want.

• Cherry Maui Wowie: the name’s closest relative in our store, with uplifting, relaxing and balanced as FVKD’s effect words. Pick it if you want the Maui Wowie name with a published description.
• Pink Champagne: another Live Rosin THC-P Disposable 3.5g, with no FVKD flavor words but calm and energy as effect words.
• Fruit Punch: a tropical-described strain sold as Live Rosin THCA and THC-P disposables, a good fit if tropical fruit is what drew you to Maui Wowie.
