Sunset Sherbet

Sunset Sherbet is widely described in cannabis culture as a cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties, and it is often credited as one of the parents of Gelato. That family tree helps explain the dessert character of the name. Treat the lineage as common strain lore rather than FVKD data; the brand’s own information covers flavor, effect words and type.

Its place in that family is also why you’ll see so many creamy, citrus-edged strains described in similar terms. If you like Sunset Sherbet, names from the same cookie-and-gelato world are a natural next step, and a few of them are listed at the end of this page.

FVKD’s four flavor words, citrus, sweet, creamy and sherbet, describe something close to an orange sherbet: a bright citrus top note that softens into a smooth, creamy finish. The citrus keeps it from tasting heavy, which is what separates it from purely bakery-style profiles such as cake or cookie strains.

Those words come from the Premium THCA Disposable’s listing. FVKD doesn’t publish separate flavor words for the Live Rosin THC-P version, so read them as a description of the strain in general rather than a side-by-side tasting of the two devices.

For another sherbet-named profile in a different format, Rainbow Sherbet comes as a Hash Holez pre-roll.

FVKD uses three effect words for Sunset Sherbet, but it splits them between the two products rather than applying them to the strain as a whole.

The two devices use different cannabinoids and different extract styles, so it isn’t surprising that the brand describes them separately. We report those words as FVKD’s and don’t read more into the difference. Effects vary from person to person, and the same person can have a different experience on a different day.

FVKD labels Sunset Sherbet a sativa, and both devices appear on our sativa hub. It is the only sativa-labeled flavor in FVKD’s Live Rosin THC-P line.

Many general strain references describe Sunset Sherbet as an indica-leaning hybrid instead. Gaps like this are common, because indica, sativa and hybrid are traditional groupings rather than measured properties, and different sources classify the same name differently. We list products under FVKD’s own label. Our guide to indica vs sativa vs hybrid at FVKD explains how much, and how little, the labels tell you.

Both devices are 3.5g disposables with single and 6-pack options. The differences are the cannabinoid and the extract.

• FVKD Sunset Sherbet Premium THCA Disposable 3.5g: Premium THCA line, 3.5g, THCA. $35.99 for one, or $170.99 for a 6-pack.
• FVKD Sunset Sherbet Live Rosin THC-P Disposable 3.5g: Live Rosin THC-P line, 3.5g, THC-P. $27.99 for one, or $131.99 for a 6-pack.

Premium THCA or Live Rosin THC-P?

Choose the Premium THCA version if THCA is what you normally buy. THCA is the acid form of THC found in raw hemp, and the vape’s heat converts it to delta-9 THC. FVKD’s product data doesn’t describe the Premium line’s extraction method. See the rest of the range in Premium Disposables.

Choose the Live Rosin THC-P version if you are an experienced consumer who wants THC-P. Live rosin is a solventless extract, pressed out with heat and pressure instead of chemical solvents, and THC-P (tetrahydrocannabiphorol) is a cannabinoid that experienced users generally regard as potent. The whole line is in Live Rosin THC-P Disposables.

A single or a 6-pack?

If you are new to Sunset Sherbet, a single device is the easy way to find out whether the citrus-and-cream profile suits you. Anyone curious about the two effect descriptions can buy one of each and compare them over a few days.

The 6-pack is for regular buyers who have already settled on a version, since it lowers the cost of every device. First-time THC-P users in particular should try a single before committing to a pack.

Still undecided? FVKD Premium vs Live Rosin compares the extract styles, and the THCA vs THC-P guide compares the cannabinoids. Both lines sit within FVKD disposable vapes.

Per device, the Premium version is $2.00 less than on fvkd.com, and the Live Rosin THC-P version $2.00 less. Batch COAs are explained on our lab results page. Stock updates throughout the day; the product page shows current availability.

All three carry FVKD’s sativa label, and two share the Premium line, so they are easy to compare directly.

• Girl Scout Cookies: the cultivar commonly named as a Sunset Sherbet parent, sold as a Premium THCA Disposable; FVKD describes it as sweet, earthy and mint, with uplifting and euphoric as effect words.
• Jet Fuel Gelato: another creamy Premium THCA Disposable, where FVKD pairs creamy with fuel and uses energizing and focused.
• Gelonade: a citrus and sweet Live Rosin Mini Disposable in the smaller 1.5g size.
