Supernova

Strain names aren’t regulated, and a name as appealing as Supernova can refer to different plants from different breeders over the years. Descriptions of its parentage and character vary from source to source, so borrowing a profile from elsewhere would mean presenting guesswork as fact. We don’t do that.

What FVKD does publish is enough to shop with. Here is the full picture, split into what is published and what isn’t:

Supernova isn’t alone here. Several FVKD names, including the Crumble THCP flavors Grapefruit and Pink Kush, also come without flavor words, effect words or a type, so an undescribed strain is a normal part of the range rather than a warning sign.

FVKD doesn’t describe how Supernova tastes, so the honest expectation is a flavor you judge for yourself. That appeals to some shoppers and not to others, and it’s worth knowing which camp you’re in before buying.

A few pointers help set expectations without inventing a profile:

• The name is marketing, not a recipe. Unlike names such as Strawberry Cough or Tropicana Cookies, Supernova says nothing about fruit, dessert or gas.
• Terpenes shape aroma. These fragrant plant compounds drive most of a strain’s smell and taste. If the batch COA includes a terpene panel, it is the most objective clue available.
• Extract texture plays a part. Crumble is a dry, crumbly concentrate style, and the way any vape heats its extract affects how flavor comes across.

If flavor predictability matters most to you, a described strain in the same line is the safer choice. Strawberry Cough, for example, is sold in the same Crumble THCP line, and FVKD describes the strain as strawberry and sweet.

With no FVKD effect words to report, the single most useful fact about Supernova is its cannabinoid: THC-P. Understanding that matters more here than any strain story.

THC-P, short for tetrahydrocannabiphorol, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid that researchers first identified in 2019. Laboratory research reported strong binding at CB1 receptors, and experienced consumers generally regard it as potent. That reputation is why THC-P devices tend to suit people who already know their tolerance.

Start with one short draw, wait a good while before taking another, and don’t combine it with alcohol or other intoxicants. Effects vary from person to person. For a fuller explanation of how THC-P compares with THCA, read our THCA vs THC-P guide.

FVKD doesn’t label Supernova as indica, sativa or hybrid, so it doesn’t appear on any of our strain-type hubs. Because an unregulated name like this can point to more than one plant, we also don’t attach a commonly cited type to it.

If you prefer to shop by label, browse the indica, sativa and hybrid hubs, where every product carries a type assigned by FVKD. Our guide to indica vs sativa vs hybrid at FVKD explains what those traditional categories can and can’t tell you.

Supernova is available as one device.

• FVKD Supernova Crumble THCP Disposable 3.5g: Crumble THCP line, 3.5g, THC-P. $27.99 for one, or $131.99 for a 6-pack.

Each device is $2.00 less than fvkd.com’s per-unit price. Stock updates throughout the day; the product page shows current availability.

Is Supernova a good fit?

Supernova makes most sense for adults who already use THC-P and are happy to discover a flavor on its own terms. If you are new to THC-P, or you choose vapes mainly by taste, a described flavor or a THCA device is the easier starting point. Buy a single before considering the 6-pack.

It can also be a good second device for someone who already owns a described Crumble THCP flavor and wants to compare. Because the line, size and cannabinoid all match, that comparison is much closer to like-for-like than switching between different FVKD lines would be.

Check before you buy

With a lightly described product, the certificate of analysis carries extra weight. Our lab results and COA page shows how to find the right report. On it, look for:

• A batch or lot number that matches your packaging.
• The cannabinoid profile, including the THC-P result.
• The delta-9 THC figure, for Farm Bill compliance.
• Screening for residual solvents, heavy metals and pesticides.

These three share Supernova’s Crumble THCP line, so size, cannabinoid and pack options match.

• Grapefruit: another Crumble THCP flavor without FVKD flavor or effect words, though its name at least signals citrus.
• Pink Kush: also undescribed by FVKD, with a kush name that traditionally suggests earthier notes.
• Strawberry Cough: the described alternative, sold in both Crumble THCP and THCA Sugar versions.

The complete list is in the FVKD strain library.
